Earlson Farmhouse is ideally located just outside Adare village. It is the perfect base if you wish to explore the stunning Southwest of Ireland and Wild Atlantic Way. Located only 40 minutes from Shannon International Airport and 2 hours from Dublin by motorway/highway. Major attractions are within an hours drive including the Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty Castle, Killarney and the Rock of Cashel. Day trips can be taken to Galway & Cork along with exploring the stunning scenery of the Wild Atlantic Way. The house is surrounded by beautiful countryside with forest walks from the house to Liskennet Woods and stunning walks including Knockfierna Hill. There is lots to explore on our doorstep with the medieval city of Limerick only 20 minutes drive or simply relax and explore the pretty village of Adare.

If you are looking for something more active we are surrounded by some of the best championship Golf Courses in the world including Ballybunion, Lahinch, Doonbeg and Adare Manor to name a few.

Adare

In the immediate locality, there is the picturesque town of Adare itself, with its sophisticated shops and restaurants, together with the charm of the Dunraven Arms Hotel, world-renowned Adare Manor and the Woodlands House Hotel all offering superb dining choices. The town’s pubs offer a convivial atmosphere in which to have an enjoyable drink or meal. The various Abbeys, Friary and Castle are steeped in a rich historical past to be experienced, much of which is interpreted at the Adare Heritage Centre.

Local Dining 

Adare is filled with sophisticated restaurants such as The Blue Door, 1826 Adare, Collins Pub together with the charm of the Dunraven Arms Hotel, world-renowned Adare Manor and the Woodlands House Hotel. On our doorstep enjoy gastropub Nevilles who also offer takeaway or for a truly special dining experience we recommend The Mustard Seed at Echo Lodge Ballingarry.

Limerick City are within a 20 minute drive offering a vast choice of restaurants and quality shopping.

Dublin city, Ireland’s capital is about a 2.5 hour drive away also. Killarney and Galway within One hour drive have much to see and do and all have some great dining experiences to be savoured.

Earlson Farmhouse is ideally placed for taking Day Trips to the many Visitor Attractions and Activities available throughout Limerick and within an hours drive, some of which include the following:

- Bunratty Castle and Folk Park

Directions

From Limerick follow the signs for Cork/Tralee/Killarney or M20 which lead onto the N21 and this will lead you to the village of Adare. Drive through the village heading for Kerry, just at the end of the village you will see a sign posted Ballingarry or R519 to your left. Take this road for approx 3.5 miles until you reach The Nevilles Cross Inn, our local pub and restaurant.. Take a sharp left here to the village posted Kilfinny. Travel on for 2.5 miles passing the village on your way to the next T junction signposted Croom R516 to your left, take this road for a few hundred yards and you will see Earlson Farmhouse signed to your right..this is our road... We are the fourth place on the left...you will see Earlson farmhouse sign..
